Recently I took some time to put together a demonstration website to try out a few design techniques as well as create a sample of our work. The end result is a website for the fictional R&R Home Builders.
This website features a clean and light theme with plenty of white space that focuses on readability and elegance.
In this design, I especially like how the hero area turned out, the area at the very top. The hero area uses multiple images, an image of a home in the background and an image of a kissing couple in the foreground, to tell a story of a couple celebrating their new home.
Going deeper into the website, the landing page for The Modern, a fictional luxury home uses white space and alternating colors to elegantly guide the viewer through a tour of the home room by room. The tour finishes with a video overview and a call to action to book a tour in person.
Putting together the demo site for R&R Home Builders was a fun project and let me experiment with different design elements, including fonts, colors and navigation styles.
